Come celebrate a birthday at ArtWorks and give your child and their friends the gift of artistic expression!

We offer several different party packages for children turning ages 4 and up. Each option offers fun and creative artistic experiences for the birthday child and their guests. Choose from the party packages listed below, customize the event as you wish, and we will gladly work with you to create a personal, memorable party for your child.

All packages include:

Art materials and instruction for chosen activities.
Set-up and clean-up of art activities.
ArtWorks for Everyone inserts to put in invitations for your guests.
Use of our outdoor playground (weather permitting).
Parents may arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the party to set-up/decorate and remain for 30 minutes after the party to collect decorations, belongings, gifts, etc. as they wish.
30-45 minutes of free time during the party for parents/children to spend as they choose (i.e. singing, eating cake, opening gifts, outdoor play, party games, a pinata, etc.)
Firing (and glazing, if necessary) of any clay projects after the party.
Saturday or Sunday start time options at 10 a.m. or 1 p.m.

Party package options:

TILE PAINTING PACKAGE:

90 minutes
$150 for up to 8 participants; $18 per additional child, up to 12 children maximum.
Each participant will glaze 2 pre-fired ceramic tiles with a color palette of their choosing: one 4-inch tile as a gift for the birthday child and one 8-inch tile to keep for themselves.
Tiles will be fired and ready for pick-up no later than 8 days after the party.

PRINTMAKING PACKAGE:

90 minutes
$150 for up to 8 participants; $18 per additional child, up to 12 children maximum.
Ages 4-5: each participant will create at least 2 original monoprints using 2 different techniques, one of which will be a gift for the birthday child.
Ages 6 and up: each participant will try two original printmaking techniques: monoprinting and block printing. Block printing will give children the opportunity to create multiple copies of the same design, one of which will be a gift for the birthday child.
Ages 10 and up: in addition to creating original monoprints, for an additional $30/30 min., older children may try a more sophisticated block printing technique using a soft linoleum-like block and linocut tools.

CLAY PACKAGE:

2 hours
$25 per child with a minimum of 8 children and a maximum of 12.
Each participant will glaze a pre-fired 4-inch ceramic tile with a color palette of their choosing (to be given to the birthday child after glaze firing).
Each participant will create an original clay project of their own, which will be fired and glazed (after the party) in a color of their choice.
Prior to the party, the birthday child and/or parents will decide, with our help, what type of clay project will be created. ArtWorks teachers will then lead the children through this project during the party.
Original clay project plans will be tailored to the individual party. Some ideas include, but are not limited to:
- Ages 4-5: pinch pots, ornaments, and/or small dishes, surface-decorated with the artist's choice of designs/patterns
- Ages 5-6 : pinch pots, ornaments, small dishes, and/or textured wall plaques/tiles, surface-decorated with the artist's choice of designs/patterns
- Ages 7-8: clay boxes or trays, coil pots, or any of the ideas listed above (with more sophisticated surface decoration)
- Ages 8 and up: soap dishes, small bird baths, pots with lids, any of the above, etc.
Clay pieces must be allowed to dry slowly before they can be fired, glazed, and then re-fired. All projects from this package will be ready for pick-up no later than 14 days after the party.

Optional party additions:

Extra 30 minutes of party time: no need to rush, more free time for cake, gifts, games, play, etc. ($30)

"Paint-your-own-cake": After the art project the children/artists will decorate their own individual jumbo cupcake with colored icing, sprinkles, etc. before singing "Happy Birthday" to the birthday child. ($40)

Tile Wall Hanging: After the ceramics parties, ArtWorks will mount and frame the 4-inch tiles decorated for the birthday child. This will create a beautiful keepsake from the party--see example below. ($50)

Printmaking Scrapbook: After the printmaking party, ArtWorks will create a beautiful scrapbook for the birthday child with the monoprints and/or block prints created by their guests. ($30)

Reservations:

A $100 deposit is required to reserve your choice of date and time. Given 10 or more days notice for changes or cancellations, 80% of this deposit will be refunded. Within 10 days of the party date, 80% of this deposit will be refunded only if we are able to fill the time slot with another event.

SHOWERS

Celebrate with an expecting mom or bride-to-be by hosting a baby or bridal shower at ArtWorks! The shower recipient and guests will enjoy painting one or more ceramic tiles with friends and family in a relaxed, comfortable atmostphere. These tiles will then be fired and may be mounted to create a beautiful wall-hanging for the baby's nursery or bride's home.

Shower packages include:

$125 for a 90 min. party with up to 9 guests/participants.
Art materials and instruction for the tile-painting project.
Set-up and clean-up of materials.
ArtWorks for Everyone inserts to place in guest invitations.
Hosts may arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the shower to set-up/decorate and remain for 30 minutes afterwards to collect decorations, belongings, gifts, etc. as desired. The amount of time available for refreshments and gifts will depend on the chosen length of the shower and the number of tiles being painted. (ArtWorks staff will be happy to offer suggestions about the time schedule.)
Firing of ceramic tiles after the event.
Evening and weekend times available to fit your needs.
$10 per additional guest/participant (up to 16 maximum).
$30 for 30 min. of additional time, $50 for 60 min. of additional time.

Your choice of natural wood or white frame (white example above).
3 x 3 tile wall hanging (approx. 16 x 16 inches framed): $50
3 x 4 tile wall hanging (approx. 16 x 20 inches framed): $60
